The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley was presented at H2SK Forum 2026, held on 3rd – 4th June 2026 at Boutique Hotel Slávia in Košice, Slovakia.
The international conference brought together Slovak and international experts in hydrogen, energy, industry, innovation and regional development. It was jointly organised by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the Košice Self-Governing Region and the National Hydrogen Association of Slovakia.
The first day of the forum focused on Hydrogen Valleys and their development in Europe. Alongside EastGateH2V, SH2AMROCK & Lighter Than Air Valley, GREEN HYSLAND and ZAHYR – Zagora Sustainable Hydrogen Region, NAHV and the North Adriatic Hydrogen Ecosystem were presented by Jurij Giacomelli, META Circularity.
His presentation introduced the development of NAHV and the wider North Adriatic Hydrogen Ecosystem, which connects the Hydrogen Valley with further EU co-funded initiatives supporting hydrogen innovation, investment and regional cooperation.
Jurij Giacomelli also contributed to the panel discussion “Why Develop Hydrogen Valleys and How to Finance Them?”, where participants exchanged experience on the implementation, governance and financing of hydrogen valleys.
The event provided a relevant platform to present NAHV’s experience to emerging hydrogen initiatives in Slovakia and Central Europe, particularly in the context of building structured support, financing mechanisms and cooperation models for hydrogen valleys.
