On 9 December 2025, the Municipality of Monfalcone hosted a public event and a workshop titled: Clean Energy and locla communities (Energia e comunità locali / Energija in lokalne skupnosti), organised in the context of CO-ADRIA initiative, co-financed by Interreg Italy–Slovenia programme. The event highlighted a growing importance of local energy communities, especially when it comes to energy efficiency solutions and a wide participation amlowing for shared costs and benefits from the introduction of renewable energy sources. Several interesting examples were demonstrated including the requalification of housing districts in Gorizia by ATER and in Monfalcone (Marina Julia) by AcegasApsAmga.
NAHV Communication and Dissemination Manager Juri Giacomelli has a chance to present the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley and expose both the importance of renewable energy communities to sustain the adoption of clean hydrogen in the growing Hydrogen Ecosystem of the North Adriatic and secveal opportunities arising in the domain of the hydrogen economy. He invited the members of
CO Adria initiative to join the NAHV Stakeholder Advisory Forum, where joint efforts may be shared and further elaborated.
