On 12 June 2025, NACHIP project partners convened in Velenje for a full-day coordination meeting hosted by the Municipality of Velenje. Held at the Climate Energy Office, the meeting served as a valuable opportunity for partners to review ongoing progress, exchange updates across work packages, and strengthen collaboration.
The agenda included a wide-ranging discussion on project deliverables, administrative updates, and inter-pilot cooperation. Key topics included coordination efforts following the recent interaction with the project officer from EISMEA, alignment on communication activities, and an overview of the Velenje hydrogen pilot, which will contribute to decarbonisation efforts in the region.
One of the highlights of the day was a site visit to the Thermal Power Plant Šoštanj (TEŠ), offering partners insight into the local energy infrastructure and the opportunities and challenges in transitioning towards greener solutions. The visit was followed by a networking lunch and additional sessions dedicated to knowledge exchange and the completion of key project activities.
The meeting also served as an informal consortium gathering, with the majority of project partners attending in person. Discussions helped clarify shared objectives and next steps in preparation for upcoming reporting and strategic activities.
